Product Management

Create and manage your catalog from eCommerce → Products. Products come in two types: Simple (a single item) and Variable (one product with options such as size or colour, each with its own price and stock).

Creating a Product

  1. Go to eCommerce → Products.
  2. Click Add Product.
  3. Fill in the tabs (General, Pricing & Inventory, Shipping, and — for variable products — Variants).
  4. Set the Status and click Create Product.

The product editor is organised into tabs across the top, with images and categories in the side panel.

Pricing & Inventory

Pricing (simple products):

  • Regular Price — the standard price.
  • Sale Price — an optional lower price. When set, the discount percentage is shown automatically.
  • Tax Class — leave as Default to use your store's tax settings, or choose a specific class.
note

For variable products, prices are set per option in the Variants tab.

Inventory:

  • Turn on Track inventory to manage stock for this product.
  • Set the Stock Quantity and a Low Stock Alert threshold — you'll be warned when stock drops below it.
  • Leave tracking off for items without stock limits (digital goods, services, made-to-order).

Product Identifiers:

  • EAN (Barcode) and MPN — used for stock tracking and marketplace feeds (Skroutz / BestPrice).

Product Images

In the side panel:

  • Featured Image — the main photo shown in listings.
  • Gallery — additional photos shown on the product page.

Categories & Brand

  • Categories are assigned in the side panel and organised under eCommerce → Categories.
  • Brands are chosen on the General tab and managed under eCommerce → Brands.

Shipping

On the Shipping tab, enter the product's Weight (kg) and dimensions (L × W × H, cm). These feed your shipping rate calculations; a volumetric weight estimate is shown as you type.

Product Variants

For products with options (size, colour, and so on):

  1. Set the Product Type to Variable on the General tab.
  2. Open the Variants tab and choose the attributes to vary (attributes are managed under eCommerce → Product Attributes).
  3. Click Generate Variants to create every combination.
  4. Set the price, stock, and an optional image for each variant in the table.

Marketplace

The Marketplace tab appears once you've enabled a marketplace feed (Skroutz or BestPrice) under eCommerce → Settings. It shows which feeds the product is included in. See Marketplace Feeds for the full setup.

The Products List

The product list gives you quick tools to manage the catalog:

  • Filter by status, product type, stock level, or on-sale items, and search by name or SKU.
  • Change status inline — click a product's status badge to switch it between Draft, Active, and Archived.
  • Bulk actions — select several products, then Set Active, Set Draft, Archive, or Delete them together.
tip

Use descriptive, keyword-rich titles and descriptions, and set a Featured Image for every product — it's what customers see first in listings.
